There’s also a great cocktail list available. Jager bombs are sold for about £2.50 when we last checked which we reckon is a pretty good deal. The staff are pretty darn friendly too.īeer is usually £2.00 a bottle, with wine going up to £13.00 a bottle. Take a look here. They have a lounge, dance floor, piano area and bar, and regularly offer karaoke. We suggest taking a look at their Facebook group to get more information about them. We like their website – simple, informative and interactive. Sunday -7:00pm-2:00pm (CHILL OUT Mixed/Gay crowd, £3.00 before 10pm £5.00 after) West 5Ī gay/mixed bar. Monday Tuesday Wednesday & Friday 7:00pm-12:00 TV/TS Nights – This is one of London’s longest running club nights for transexuals, transvestites and their friends. As with many establishments like Ted’s, you’re more than likely going to get hit on, but surely that’s part of the fun? There’s a great time to be had, and the bar staff are definitely there to be talked to. We recommend getting yourself a drink, not being shy, and putting yourself out there. With cheap entry and cheap drinks, it’s certainly pulling in the crowds.

It’s been run by Ted for the last 20 years. For some reason we can’t quite make out why it’s closed on Saturday’s. Sunday and Thursday nights are specifically trannie, and Wednesday is underwear night. It’s a downstairs bar (in a basement) accessed by windy stairs. We like this place, though it might be a little dark for some. Who doesn’t like a man in a suit? For some reason we couldn’t find much more info on the venue, but don’t let that deter you from trying it out. Located down a backstreet near Victoria the Stag is pretty popular with gay civil servants. On weekends expect a DJ from 9pm onwards who takes requests and caters for all sorts of tastes. That said, the staff are quick and efficient. Unfortunately this place isn’t exactly cheap. There’s a great atmosphere and generally occupied by rather accommodating locals very willing to engage with new visitors. It’s a really gay-friendly pub that attracts a slightly older crowd in the early evening and a younger mixed lot, including straight visitors, later on. We say if you’re out and about in Richmond this gay pub is definitely worth a quick visit.

There are a couple of real ales available and the Queens is Cask Marque accredited. This isn’t an overtly gay pub, but it’s certainly friendly. Visit if you can, seeing and enjoying something like this is a bit of a unique thing in Chelsea. Furnished and decorated with a hardwood floor, dark timber and heavy patterned wallpaper we could sit in here and enjoy a pint all day. It’s more of a traditional establishment and will suit those who long for the olden days. Hold on to your ruby slippers, Dorothy, because it’s time for the wicked bars of the west (of London).
